Canada’s Specialty Food manufacturer since 1995. Wildly Delicious has built a solid reputation over the past two decades for designing and manufacturing high quality, innovative food products. They believe the only thing worse than an empty jar of something is a promise built on empty words. That’s why they are not going to attempt to seduce you with words and phrases like “artisanal”, “farm fresh”, “gourmet”, “real”, or “homemade”.
What they will share is that they hope every jar or bottle you open conveys your passion for really great food.
Every season they strive to meet and even exceed expectations as a company. Their in-house innovative developmental team creates a number of new and exciting flavour experiences that circle the globe, while their style hunters take the path less traveled collecting inspiration for their designs. The result of their philosophy is the type of passion that is worth sharing.
Newfoundland Screech Rum BBQ Sauce
This proudly Canadian BBQ sauce is not like every other, it’s infused with Newfoundland Screech Rum. When I first tasted the sauce directly from the bottle I was disappointed, it was very “boozy” and had a weird aftertaste. I decided to trust Wildly Delicious and continued with my intentions to marinate my chicken.
My chicken marinated overnight in the sauce. I put them on a cookie sheet and cooked them at 350F for 30min turning halfway. The sauce didn’t smell any better as it was cooking. I was frustrated cause I knew I had just wasted 4 big chicken breast.
If there ever was a time for me to eat my words, this would be it! OH-MY-GOSH! I’m telling you, sweet BBQ angels made this sauce. We ended up slicing the chicken breasts and putting it on a bun with some lettuce. No mustard, no mayonnaise, no condiments needed. It was perfect just the way it was. Incredible!
Butter Tart Caramel Sauce
I absolutely LOVE butter tarts but I have the darnedest time trying to find them without raisins. When I got the chance to try Wildly Delicious’ Butter Tart Caramel Sauce, I jumped at the chance.
Oh boy, was this ever sinful! The consistency of the caramel was perfect and the sweetness was on point. This is the perfect dessert for adults and kids alike.
I do wonder if we could melt the sauce. The jar doesn’t mention anything. I think this would be super delicious warmed up and drizzled over a piece of cake. YUM!
Caesar Rimmer
I drink a virgin caesar every night without fail. When I was thought to make it back in the 90s we always used regular old celery salt to rim the glasses. So when I read that Wildly Delicious had a crowd-pleasing caesar rimmer, you didn’t have to ask me twice to try it.
When I opened the package I noticed that it came in a nonresealable bag. I didn’t like that. I’m the only member of my family who drinks caesars so it would take me a while to finish a package of seasoning.
As I opened the bag I was hit with a smoky smell, almost like a barbecue bacon type smell. It was an odd smell but I rimmed my glass and made my caesar the way I like it. The rimmer tastes exactly like it smells. I felt like my glass was rimmed with a brisket rub. It was really weird but tolerable until the heat hit. Oh my, is it ever spicy.
If you’re looking for something different to liven up your caesar this might be for you. I, on the other hand, am sticking with my good old celery salt.
All in all this Canadian company really hit it out of the park. I look forward to discovering more products they have to offer in the near future.
