If you have decided that now is the time to sell your house then the hard work is only just beginning. A lot goes into buying and selling property and, at times, it can get quite stressful. Look at the properties for sale and those sold in your area

Before you list your house take a look at the real estate for sale in your area. This can help you to get a good idea of the value of your property and any comparable houses that are listed at the same time as yours. You may also be able to find out what houses are sold for, again this will give you a better idea of the amount you can expect to achieve for your property.

Find your paperwork

You will no doubt have a whole host of paperwork from when you purchased your property, now is the time to find it. Paperwork including ownership documents, warranties, and operating manuals. Your legal team and buyers are likely to need it as the sale proceeds so knowing where they are will help reduce the stress later in the process.

Declutter

Before you take any pictures of your property to be listed online you will need to have a thorough declutter. All floors, sides, and surfaces should be clean and tidy without any unnecessary clutter. It will help make your home look more presentable and attractive to potential buyers.  Look into Ewmdumpsterrental for a residential roll-off dumpster and make your clutter cleanup finished in a one-and-done situation.

Do the jobs you have been putting off

Everybody has those odd jobs around the house that they have been putting off. A cupboard door that has come loose, walls that need a touch-up or regrouting the bathroom. The time has come to do those small and simple jobs that you have ignored for so long. These small things can make a big difference to the look and feel of your home.

Show your garden some love

A garden can be a real selling (or off-putting) point to a house. A well-looked-after inviting garden can make all the difference to buyers looking around a property. Equally a garden that is full of clutter and mess can be a turn-off for buyers and could lose you a sale. Keep your garden mess and clutter-free for photos and viewings.

Don’t forget the front

It is not only the rear garden that needs some TLC, the first thing potential buyers see is the exterior of your home. Your front yard needs to be presentable and well kept. It needs to look inviting and like somewhere you would want to live. Be sure your home has curb appeal by decluttering the front, tidying up any mess, and sprucing up the garden or exterior of your home. Remember when it comes to real estate, first impressions count so make sure your home leaves a good first impression.
