Named after the olive oil-based soaps originating in Castile, Spain, Castile soap can come in liquid or bar form, but it is made only from vegetable oils. Its grease-grabbing quality makes Castile soap useful on slick oven hoods, greasy pots and pans, hard-to-clean oily spills and really pretty much everything else. Castile soap and water can be used to clean counters, sinks, bathtubs, floors, or toilets; it can get rid of insects that infest houseplants and can even replace laundry detergent.
Because Castile soap is biodegradable and nontoxic, it’s safe to use on pets and around kids. You can even clean vegetables with it, as long as it’s diluted enough.
I, personally had never heard of castile soap. At first it was so odd to me that I was washing my body with the same product that I was washing my toilet. But after reading the informative pamphlet that came with the soap, it reassured me that it was perfectly normal. I found myself loving this product and in no time I was informing family and friends about this amazing miracle soap.
It’s hard when you’re used to using products filled with chemicals on a daily basis to suddenly switch to a all natural product. Your first impression seems to always be negative because the product is nothing like you’re used to.
When I tried the toothpaste for the first time I had immediately made up my mind that I didn’t like it because my teeth weren’t as smooth when I touched them with my tongue. (How stupid is that?!) My breath was extremely minty, my teeth looked great, but I was going to dismiss a perfectly good product based on “tooth smoothness”.
After giving the toothpaste a few more tries I discovered that nobody is going to be checking my teeth to see how smooth they are. I rather be brushing my teeth with something I know is natural that to put plenty of chemicals in my body and endangering my health.

You can really smell the chamomile and grapefruit which I was afraid was going to irritate my skin, but to the contrary, it really did help relieve my red splotches.

This cream is said to be non-greasy, I’d have do disagree, I find it extremely greasy but that’s what I love about it. Its texture is almost like sunscreen, it’s so thick that when you put it on it leaves a thick white layer on your skin that you have to really work and rub in to get it to absorb. I wouldn’t use this as an all over body cream but definitely for those trick spots like ashy elbows.

This is by far my favourite product from Green Beaver. I’m not a fan of coconut smelling product, but this one is truly amazing. I was a bit worried of how my scalp was going to react because I have a lot of dandruff. Usually as soon as I get off of my normal dandruff shampoos I break out into thick scabs on my scalp. But I gave the shampoo a try anyways (no conditioner). After one week almost all my dandruff was gone, I couldn’t believe it! It’s almost as though I was causing this problem to myself by using all these shampoos full of chemicals. I’ve been suffering for over 10 years for no reason. So frustrating. Green Beaver Coconut Moisturizing Shampoo is my new favorite Shampoo!

I’m sad to say that this deodorant was a miss for me. After only two hours I start to smell again. I also had my Mom test it out with me and she had the same experience, she started smelling again after a few hours also. I wonder if a different scent might be better for us?!
