The Millennium Falcon Drone is a remote controlled quadcopter in the guise of the most infamous smuggler’s craft in the Star Wars universe.
Though unlikely to make the Kessel Run anywhere close to 18 parsecs, this iteration of the Falcon does mimic its namesake’s nimble control by hovering in place and by rising and lowering in a strictly vertical column before attempting to outrace incoming TIE fighters. With a subspace hyperdrive and bow C-beam lamps that glow during flight, its built-in gyro stabilization keeps the drone level, while simple controls on the 2.4 GHz radio remote provide deft handling in any direction, with a maximum 250′ range within line-of-sight.
Its rechargeable battery provides 10-minute flights from a 45-minute charge; remote requires six AA batteries. This is a great gift idea for a first time drone flyer, but the battery does not last long enough to fully enjoy. If they could increase the battery life to 20+ minutes, this would be perfect!
