Reviews Subscription Boxes

Love Goodly

Love Goodly is a lifestyle box that’s specifically curated to include all natural, eco-friendly and cruelty-free products. Each box contains five to seven items. These are usually full-sized and feature smaller brands.
The subscription box is released bimonthly and costs 29.95$ USD plus shipping. The box ends up costing around 60$ USD for Canadians . Love Goodly boxes are typically valued at around 85$ USD.  5% of every box is donated to a specific cause (varies box to box).

The future is bright, and so are you! Join the self-love movement and wear this pin on your jacket or bag as a reminder to choose yourself on a daily basis. The diamond shaped pin signifies self-love. Fred + Far has created a sisterhood with a powerful message of loving yourself.

I love the idea, but will I ever wear it? Nope. And honestly 12$ for a pin is a bit ridiculous. I tried searching on the fredandfar website to see if the money was going to a cause of some sort but found nothing. A bit disappointing.

I’m not a thin person, so the second I saw this I knew it wouldn’t fit me. I was sad because my head is also shaved therefore I couldn’t use it for any of its intended purposes. My cousin was coming over for supper so I figured she would like it, she always has a bunch of hair ties around her wrist. My cousin is thin so I never expected her to say that the bracelet looked too small, but sure enough it was too tight on her as well! She was just as sad as I was.

I ended up giving this 28$ bracelet/hairband to a 12 year old which I find absurd. But at least it fit her.

Perfect Hair, Skin & Nails combines probiotic-fermented herbs and Astaxanthin, a rare plant-nutrient from organic Algae grown with water originating from the Himalaya Mountains. It deeply nourishes hair and nails by supporting your natural production of keratin with 100% Daily Value of fermented Biotin.

** always check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any pills** These pills conflicted with my daily medication and I was advised not to take them. 17$ sadly wasted.

When I saw this polish I was in love! The ingredients, 87% of which are of natural origin, are derived from the manufacture of wood pulp, cotton, maize, cassava and other raw vegetable materials. They are not derived from petroleum. Safe and Eco-friendly, Faby fingernail polishes come in a bottle made of glass, a material that is both ecological and recyclable. This polish is “Big-5 Free”! This means they don’t contain: DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, TPHP, Parabens or Xylene! How awesome is that??? I was really excited to try it. My grandma gladly let me use her as my test subject.

That excitement quickly turned to disappointment. Although the polish did dry very quickly, after three coats it still looked unfinished. My grandma didn’t like the color, she said it made her hands look old and dead like a zombie (this made me giggle) but I have to agree with her, it’s a horrible color! Sorry Faby you get a big thumbs down. This laquer is not worth 12$ in my opinion.

For 20$ you can get Kat Von D’s newly reformulated nontoxic Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lovecraft. This particular shade is insanely flattering on everyone, which is why it’s such a sought-after hue. I love that perfect pinky mauve tone that is feminine without being overly girly. My only complaint is that it’s not smudge proof, but I can live with that.

I love the idea of this subscription box being natural, healthy and cruelty free but I didn’t enjoy the products enough to subscribe at such a high price to Canadians. This might be worth more if you’re a US resident since Love Goodly offers free shipping to the continental US.
