GASTROLUX FRY PAN
Nonstick coatings, such as Teflon, on cookware products release carcinogenic fumes when they are overheated. Consequently, these carcinogens kill pets, cause health problems, are linked to female infertility. They are also persistent in the environment and in the blood of the general population.
As a result, Gastrolux has created safer cookware options for their customers.
Their cast aluminum products have permanent nonstick surfaces made with BIOTAN NANO surface refinement. The NANO application of surface refinement is not only permanent, it enhances the surface by making it harder than traditional non-stick cookware.
Designed for “healthy, fat free cooking” you can cook completely without oil. However, you may choose to add a little oil for taste reasons. Ideal for frying a multitude of dishes.

I found this frying pan to be extremely useful for omelettes, fried eggs, small batches of crepes or pancakes, potatoes, veggies, chicken and steak. I even found the frying pan to be great for reheating foods such as spaghetti, shepherds pie and mac & cheese. There’s no need for oil or butter as the pan is truly non stick.
I only cook on medium heat as I found it’s best for even heat distribution. Also, when it comes to cleaning your pan Gastrolux suggests to clean it with a scotch brite or something rough in plastic. Reason being, using any other product can cause accumulation into the pore of the pan and have a bad effect on the non-stick surface.
To conclude, this pan has become a personal favourite of mine. It has well deserved its spot along side my grandma’s cast iron skillet and my dutch oven.
