After meeting on a Fulbright scholarship in the USA, founders Rick and Olivier found that being Dutch wasn’t the only thing they had in common. They pitched their smart wallet idea to a Kickstarter wallet enthusiast, Richard, and he was instantly sold. Together they realized that the perfect wallet wasn’t only a dream; they just needed to create it.

The Ekster team now consists of sixteen people from nine different countries: what connects them all is a love for adventure, the outdoors, and international travel. Their multitudes of backgrounds and experiences have helped them to create the best travel smart wallet yet.

It features a card slider mechanism that ejects your six most-used cards with one click of the trigger in a smooth and staggered fashion, making it easier to go pick the card you need.

Protect your data

The RFID/NFC protecting technology in these wallets protects your cards from wireless skimming and private data theft. Cards with RFID/NFC can be duplicated, causing security issues for important data. Traditional wallets are no longer safe to use, so the Ekster Parliament keeps you protected.

Never lose your wallet

Ekster works with a solar powered tracking card from Chipolo. This tracker card is connected to your smartphone and allows you to locate and ring your wallet anywhere. In case you lose your phone, you can ring it by pressing the Ekster button on the card 2 times. 3 hours of sunlight will last two months so you don’t need to worry about charging it all the time.

I had a few doubts when I first got this wallet but it’s really grown on me. Here are my thoughts:

• It’s perfect for the minimalist guy. 
• Pairing the tracker card with my phone helps a lot in case i lose one or the other and it also allows me to track them on the Chipolo app.
• The tracker has a great battery life of up to 2 months on one charge.
• It’s premium quality leather makes it a really fashionable accessory.

Overall I really love this wallet. It’s compact, easy to use and all the features added with the tracker card makes it the perfect wallet for me.

The only negative point I can give this product is that it might a bit overpriced.
