COFFEE! Enough said.
About The Company :
Craft Coffee is a monthly subscription box that delivers great coffee, straight to your door. When signing up for a subscription, they give you a little questionnaire asking your current coffee choices, and if you’d like to try something similar, or be adventurous. It’s a really neat process. You can forgo the questionnaire and choose the roast, price range, amount of coffee samples, the sample bag size, the grind and the frequency of delivery. But that takes all the fun out of surprises, now doesn’t it.
Craft Coffee selections are hand-roasted by independent coffee roasters – American small businesses pouring their heart and soul into a great product. And unlike coffees from the big industrial guys, our beans are always fresh roasted for your order. They’ll never sit stale on a grocery store shelf.
If you like a coffee you received to sample, you can buy a full sized bag of it right on their website! You can also gift a subscription box to a friend (hint hint: Mothers day is just around the corner – and aren’t you the reason your mother started drinking coffee?)
Also, if you’re new to coffee (lets just pretend we don’t down half a pot before we pretend to be awake) the website even tells you how to brew, and grind it –if you opt for full beans and not already ground–
If you sign up to be a member, you can earn free coffee..
Share your personalized discount code with your network. Your friends get 15% off, and you get a free month for each friend who buys a personal subscription to Craft Coffee.
About The Products I Received :
In my Craft Coffee box I received 3 sample bags. I’m not exactly sure why they’re called ‘sample bags’ because they’re pretty large! Actually, according to my handy kitchen scale, one bag weighs 4.5 ounces. That’s over 1/4 pound. Okay, it’s more than it sounds. But I digress.
I received these three samples ..
“This exceptional blend displays notes of dark chocolate, caramel and almond before culminating in a lingering finish of woody spice”
“A balanced medley of hearty flavors ranging from walnut and hazelnut to sweeter notes of cane sugar and black cherry make for an exquisite cup”
“Delicate aromas of honey and rose introduce this complex cup, which falls into deep flavors of dark chocolate, raspberry, and a rich tobacco finish”
I tried the first two coffees (green labels — which all mean a different roast type, you can find out more on their website –) only, because as it turns out, i’m allergic to tobacco. I couldn’t test the last one. I gave some to my Mom and Ryan’s Mom to try and give me their opinions though.
I really enjoyed the coffee with Walnut, Hazelnut, Cane Sugar and Black Cherry. I tried it black, and it was pretty strong. I’m not usually a fan of black coffee, so I of course made it as I would any usual coffee, and it was great! I reminds me of the boldness of a Starbucks coffee — for comparison use only! — which I thoroughly enjoy. It has a natural sweetness to it, but I still needed an extra uumph, so I added some brown sugar to highlight the cane sugar. I usually use raw sugar, but of course I was all out for this taste testing.
The Dark Chocolate, Almond and Caramel coffee was extremely strong. I suppose it’s a coffee you would drink if you just had to pull an all nighter. Nurses, new parents, college students maybe?! I wasn’t too big a fan of this one, but at least I got to try something new! I passed on this bag of coffee to Ryan’s Mom to see if she enjoys the extra-bold taste.
And, the review for the last bag will be added here shortly, once I get them back from my handy-dandy taste testers. So be sure to check back and see how the coffee with hints of tobacco was rated!
