They become inquisitive about their surroundings and more interactive with people around them.

Break Free – Pick the lock & escape!

Players handcuff themselves together and insert a maze into each handcuff. The game includes three maze colors. Each color represents a different level of difficulty, making each round unpredictable. Using a key, players must try to pick the lock on their handcuff as quickly as possible. The fastest to break free from their handcuff receives a token that corresponds with the maze color. There are points on the back of each token, the player with the most points after playing all three rounds, wins the game.

Includes:
x4 hand cuffs with chains
x4 keys
x4 easy level mazes
x4 intermediate level mazes
x4 advanced level mazes
x16 tokens

My lovely 14 year old goddaughter was kind enough to play with me. I asked her to read the instructions to see if she could understand them; she could not. After explaining the game to her we set up our handcuffs with the easy level mazes.

I have to say, I was surprised that the handcuffs fit me! I’m not a small woman and for a kids toy to fit me; it’s pretty remarkable.

Took us about a minute to get through the easy level maze. It was, well, easy! We moved forward to intermediate level next. I got out of the maze within maybe 2 minutes, but my goddaughter gave it a good try for about 10 minutes before she gave up. The advanced level was even hard for me, there was no way she was getting out of there!

I let her try to unlock them without any added pressure of competing but she still didn’t manage.

I ended up playing the game with a few adults to see if they could get through the mazes. Two could not and one could. This game is rated 6+ I believe an adjustment needs to be made. If adults have trouble getting through a maze, than children certainly will too.

Unfortunately this game gets a thumbs down.

Safe Breaker – Spy Scan Solve!

Safe Breaker is an electronic game that challenges spy skill, memory and luck in order to crack the code and collect golden coins. To start the mission, players pick a card and turn the safe combination to the corresponding number shown. Next, use the fingerprint scanner to test the number. If the light is green, the safe will release some coins. If the light is red, connect the spy listening gear to the safe to hear a top- secret clue to deduce the correct combination code. Clues include mathematical chances and luck elements, allowing for a new experience each round.

Includes:
x1 Safe Breaker vault
x1 spy stethoscope
x15 golden coins
x18 game cards
x3 diamond coin stickers
x1 alarm bell coin stickers

We absolutely adored this game. We were having so much fun and laughing so hard that everyone came to see what we were doing. But there are a few adjustments to be made and my goddaughter was quick to point them out!

  • You can hear the “top secret clue” even if you’re far away.
  • The scope would need to be screwed on because it keeps popping off of the safe and it’s quite annoying.
  • The order you insert the coins is the order they will come out of the safe (ei: if you insert 3 diamonds first, 3 diamonds will come out of the safe)
  • After you’ve turned on the safe and inserted the coins to start the game, the first person to open the safe never receives coins.

Something really cool that my goddaughter figured out is that this game can also be played by the visually impaired. When you turn the safe combination with the scope to your ear, it tells you what number you’re on. Pretty cool, right?!

This game gets a big thumbs up.
