Almond Breeze

Lately, I have been trying to eat better. One way I have been doing this is by substituting certain products for healthier alternatives.  I have recently been using Almond Breeze in recipes instead of milk or cream.

Almond Breeze offers refrigerated or shelf stable products.

The refrigerated kind comes in either Original, original unsweetened or Vanilla and vanilla unsweetened flavours. The Almond Breeze refrigerated is chilled and ready to pour in a glass, over cereal, or into your favorite recipe.

The Shelf stable one comes in Original, Original unsweetened, vanilla, vanilla unsweetened, Chocolate, chocolate unsweetened and coconut unsweetened.  Shelf Stable Almond Breeze is a  must-have for every pantry – so you’ll never run out of Almond Breeze!

There’s no difference in the taste between the two, I actually prefer the shelf stable as I can purchase when on sale and keep in the pantry for awhile and not have to drink/use it all right away.

Almond Breeze is Gluten-Free, Lactose-Free, Soy-Free and 98% Fat-Free!

They also come in different sizes to suit everyone’s needs.

You can replace milk and cream with Almond Breeze in just about any recipe to make it a little healthier, and to add a little extra flavour!  I have been experimenting with Almond Breeze in recipes and I do have to say, you can’t tell the difference.  One of my favourite pasta dishes to make is Fettuccini Alfredo, but with the amount of cream used in my recipe, it’s not as healthy as it could be.  I decided to give it a try and replace the cream with Almond Breeze – It was a big hit!  Everyone really enjoyed it and went for seconds!

You can check out my Chicken Alfredo recipe using Almond Breeze here.

There are so many great recipes I want to try and replace milk and cream for Almond breeze.  Mac ‘n Cheese, smoothies, popsicles, cakes, dips – the possibilities are endless!

Keep an eye out on the blog for more recipes using Almond Breeze in the next couple of weeks!
