About Lundby:
Our doll’s houses are typical examples of modern dream homes – in miniature format: 1:18 scale. Our classic doll’s house, Småland, has been painstakingly revamped, while our architect-designed house, Stockholm, prioritises modern design and special details (for example, how does the idea of a pull-out pool and a wonderful patio grab you?).
All of our houses are based on the same fundamental belief – that the urge to play lies in the details. And this conviction obviously applies to the interior design, fixtures and furniture too. For instance: we were the first in the world to install electric lighting in our doll’s houses.
The Smaland Doll House measures approximately 30.3″ long x 10.2″ wide x 15.4″ tall. It is 1:18 scale, so it’s not your typical doll house. It’s big enough for 2 children to play together, but also small enough that it wont take up too much room.
Easy to assemble. It took us less then an hour to put everything together. All the walls and floors slide together and the front screws in to keep everything in place. There is 5 and a half rooms for you to decorate and make your own. You can also purchase an extension floor level with 2 extra rooms. Dolls and accessories are sold separately, so you can customize your house to your taste.
There are so many unique features on the Lundby doll house like, actual working lights, doors and windows that open and close and even the accessories are made to open and close.
Pictured above is the Smaland Stove & Fridge set, Smaland Wash-up sink & dishwasher and the Smaland Kitchen Furniture set. The fridge and all cupboards and drawers open up. We love how some sets come with extras like food, pots and pans and glasses. You can also purchase extra accessories to make your doll house complete.
The windows and balcony doors can be opened and all rooms are prepared for electricity! Thats right! The house is pre-wired and ready for working lights. Just add lights and a power supply and your house will light up! There are very few doll houses with this feature and this really makes Lundby’s Smaland doll house stand out from the rest.
There are all kinds of accessories and furniture available to purchase to make your house your own. Curtains, fireplace, kitchen accessories and more!
I recommend using adhesive on the back of some of the furniture to keep them in place as some of them are easy to tip over while playing (especially in the kitchen).
My kids played with their Smaland house for hours on end, arranging and rearranging the furniture.
I recommend this for kids 5+ because of all the tiny pieces.
