About The Company :
Tea Sparrow is a monthly subscription box that delivers great tasting tea, right to your door. Each month, members are billed 20$ (shipping included!) and receive a box of new and exciting premium loose leaf teas. You can pause your account at any time, which is a fantastic feature that lets you skip a month (or a few).
With your Tea Sparrow subscription, you’ll receive a mix of our 4 favourite premium loose leaf teas. Each month you can look forward to receiving approximately 35 cups of tea. Every tea box includes a selection of both herbal and caffeinated blends to enjoy.
If you get a tea you really love, just find the tea blenders name on the bag of tea from Tea Sparrow, go onto the Tea Sparrow website under ‘teas‘ and find the tea blenders name. You can order through them directly, as Tea Sparrow doesn’t sell individual teas – just samples!
You can buy, and send your friends or family a Tea Sparrow subscription box. I personally love this feature, because I know a lot of tea-lovers that would really appreciate trying some teas they otherwise wouldn’t.
About The Products I Received:
I just want to start off by saying I *love* tea. I used to be a direct sales rep for a tea company – and that didn’t work out because I drank all my product!
I received these samples :
Chocolate Blueberry Organic – This blueberry chocolate tea combines the maltiness of Assam black tea, the sweet aroma of blueberries, and a creamy chocolate finish. Add a touch of honey and it makes a wonderful dessert!
Blood Orange Smoothie – This creamy blend of naturally caffeine–free South African red rooibos, orange, and vanilla is herbal bliss!
Clouds and Mist – Clouds and Mist organic green tea, also known as ‘yunwu’, has a compelling aroma of smoky, citrus and vegetal. Its earthy taste, reminiscent of sweet, roasted artichokes, is well-rounded, with a slight note of toasted pecans.
Organic Cheery Fruit Tea – Honey brings out the flavours of this original blend. Lovely natural sweetness with a hint of orange.
I tried the Blood Orange Smoothie tea first, and it’s delicious! I was actually surprised at how smooth it was, with citrus in it. I added a bit of honey like suggested and in my honest opinion, the sweetness doesn’t match the natural tartness.. and I would have preferred it without the honey.
I made my boyfriend the Clouds and Mist, since he’s a green tea fan (which I am not) and he said it was good – but he prefers simple green tea.
As soon as I was finished my first tea, I made another, this time the Chocolate Blueberry Organic. To be quite honest, I’m not a huge fan of chocolate especially dark chocolate, which is usually what’s paired with blueberries, to match the strong taste. I ended up really liking this one. I added a bit of milk to make it creamier and cut the tartness, which made it very desert-like. I love it!
Organic Cheery Fruit Tea was last, but not least. It packs a lot of flavor in one cup and tasted best just like that – no milk or sugar.
I strongly recommend this subscription box for tea lovers!
