Although i’m not a sweet lover, a good cinnamon roll is my kryptonite. My brother gave me this recipe a few years ago and it’s simply amazing! It’s also really easy to make.
Copycat Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll Recipe

A delicious copycat recipe for cinnabon cinnamon rolls!
Dough
- 1/2 tsp yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup margarine or butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 4 cups AP flour
Filling
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 + 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/3 cup margarine
Icing
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 + 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup cream cheese
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/8 tsp salt
Instructions
- Disolve the yeast in the warm milk, in a large bowl
- Add sugar, margarine, salt, eggs and flour & mix well
- Knead the dough in a large ball, using your hands dusted with flour
- Put dough in a bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour
- Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface until it is approx 21 inches long and 16 inches wide, and 1/4 inch thick.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- To make filling, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl
- Spread margarine over dough, sprinkle sugar mixture on top.
- Roll the dough
- Cut into 1 inch slices and place on a lightly greased baking pan
- Bake 10 minutes or until brown (I usually have to bake for longer, so just watch it - but don't over cook!)
- While rolls are baking, combine all icing ingredients and beat with an electric mixer until fluffy
- Spread icing generously on rolls while still warm (not hot!!)
Great Tip
- Make extra icing! I love adding a little extra in my plate.

These are so good, but I haven’t made them for awhile since the girls moved out and it’s just me and hubby, and he doesn’t eat sweets, wonder if they could be frozen, hmmmm
