I know a lot of NASCAR fans that have been very excited for this game. Quite a few of my friends watch races together and play against each other on nascar fantasy racing so this game will be brilliant for them.
From 704Games, NASCAR Team Properties’ exclusive console simulation – style video game licensee, NASCAR Heat 2 expands on the core experience of 2016’s NASCAR Heat Evolution with a deeper career mode supporting all three national racing series, upgraded graphics, physics and customization features, expanded online multiplayer functionality and the return to the franchise of twoplayer local multiplayer.
? 3 NASCAR National Series. – For the first time in nearly a decade, all 3 NASCAR national series are available to play. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series™, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series™ and NASCAR XFINITY Series™ each offer unique gameplay, drivers, vehicles and tracks. Sign with real race teams and win with the most famous rides in NASCAR.
? Supercharged Online Multiplayer. – For the first time in a NASCAR game, players can fill the field in online multiplayer with AI cars. The new NASCAR race format, combined with rolling seasons and leaderboards, delivers a new level of authenticity in competitive play.
? Old-school Couch Co-op. – NASCAR Heat 2 brings back the fun of head-to-head racing with two person local multiplayer.
6 new tracks make racing more diverse. 3 road courses, 2 ovals, and 1 dirt track join the 23 updated Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series sanctioned tracks for a total of 29 tracks.
Considering this is the only game in town for NASCAR fans, it’s worth picking up for that reason alone, and it plays well enough to be worth it. This is a well-intentioned racing game. While it lacks the budget of a Gran Turismo or Project CARS, you can tell that developer 704 Games has really poured its heart into the project. This is evident in the new Career mode, a rags-to-riches affair which sees you start out as a feeble Hot Seat driver attempting to make your mark on the motorsport world. Fighting for territory won’t be easy – and if you’re playing on a difficulty tier higher than the easiest option, it’s a real challenge to fight your way to the front of the pack.
