Everything Else

July is The Month to Celebrate Everything Canada #StreamTeam

Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians!

Today is Canada’s 149th Birthday, and many people here in Ottawa are on their way to Parliment Hill to celebrate. I, on the other hand, avoid the downtown crowds and celebrate at home. Every Canada Day we invite friends and family over and have a BBQ. There’s nothing better than a BBQ and a few cold drinks with friends and family to celebrate this day!  Not only do we celebrate Canada, but we also celebrate Canadian made things.

Here are a few items you probably didn’t know were made right here in Canada.

  • Peanut Butter
  • The Egg Carton
  • Insulin
  • The Pain Roller
  • The Garbage Bag
  • And so much more great Canadian inventions!

This month, in celebration of Canada Day, we will be watching A LOT of Canadian-made movies and shows.  There are so many out there and many of which I did not know were made in Canada.

Diary of a Wimpy Kids, my oldest son’s favourite movie, was actually made in Vancouver, who knew?!

While you are celebrating Canada Day, why not take some time this month and celebrate all things made in Canada as well!

Netflix has a great array of Canadian made shows and films. There’s also lots of titles available that feature Canadian actors and actresses!

Browse around Netflix and find some of your favourite Netflix titles, and let us know in the comments below what you will be watching this month!
